Income Tax 2010

I already made my income tax and had it filed before the deadline on April 15 next month. My tax last year includes some creditable taxes withheld from sources from March up to June. I do not know exactly the percentage of the amount being deducted but the refundable for me will be very valuable. I am looking forward for some refunds on the years 2009 and 2010.

EASYCONTACT.COM (MARCH)

My cousin just opened a personal business here in the city. The business types are about engineering design, estimation and consultancy. He requested me to be part of the business more particularly in the areas of marketing. Being in that particular field, I carefully analyzed and studied the prospective and target markets or clients of the business. One effective strategy that I just did was direct email marketing wherein I easily create, send and manage the email campaigns to my prospects. It really helped me organized my work and it was a very helpful tool especially that the business just started. There were already lots of feedback that I got and  tomorrow I will have an appointment with my cousin to discuss and make updates with him on the aspects of marketing.

I just send a text message to my cousin Neng as she is celebrating her birthday today. We've been close since she got married with my cousin. The family just love her being sweet, generous, kind and considerate person  to everybody. I easily get along to her and on her special day I never miss sending my personal wishes and greetings. May the goodness of your heart be rewarded more of blessings, happiness, health, love, peace and prosperity as always. Happy birthday!

Orange Highlighter

A very useful item that I have with me is this highlighter pen. I often use this to highlight sections of documents by marking them with vivid, translucent color. I like orange this time and I often use it  on my subject studies and Bible reading  as well. By using this pen, I can immediately identify some important  words or statements that are relevant on the topics that I am reading.  I would like to add more highlighters in colors of green, pink, yellow and blue  on my personal collection.

Earth Hour 2011

Today the world is celebrating the Earth Hour. Everyone in the world is encourage to participate by turning off lights from 8:30-9:30 pm (for one hour) to draw attention to the climate change. We can help participate in our own way by using clean and efficient energy products, sustainable energy resources, minimizing wastes, help protect the environment and many more things that we can offer to save the earth. I am personally using organic products as my soap and cleaning agents at home. Mother earth is gradually diminishing as we can already feel the effects of climate change, natural disasters and more. This earth hour is a call to everybody to be actively responsible for the nature that we are living.

Burma Earthquake

The country of Burma was not spared from the cruelty of nature as a magnitude 6.8 earthquake hit the northeastern region. The tremors happened and damaged some areas near the Thai border. I saw on the news some destroyed houses, buildings and trees. Also some big cracks on highways as seen on the picture above. This is another devastation secondary to what happened on Japan weeks ago.

Azkals won again

Another great victory for the country's pride in football,  the team Azkals. They win 3-0 against Bangladesh and the game place them in the main tournament of the AFC challenge cup. I hope Phil Younghusband can get recovered from his injuries so that he can join the team on their next game. Congratulations to the Azkals  and you made the country proud once again.

Cell phone charms

I was spending some time in the mall last Saturday afternoon. In the second floor where mobile phone accessories were being displayed, I saw this red strawberry design cell phone charm. The string is not so long and it really fits to my mobile phone. I immediately bought the item and had it replaced my old phone cord. The strapped can be easily  attached to a loophole. This is my way of personalizing my phone at this time. There are many designs available in the market today and you can have as many charms to choose from ordinary cheap to expensive ones.

Monday Offline

The start of this week is very favorable for me. I feel relax in the office as the system is offline for the whole day. My work is dependent with the integrated system and since there is no connection, all the receiving documents have to wait for tomorrow. I am able to attend to my unfinished personal transactions last week, have an early lunch and a good  nap before the afternoon time started. Now I am having my time updating my posts as I neglected my blogs for the past months of being preoccupied with so many things.  I am happy to be back again.

EOM

Winning for millions is what everyone is dreaming of and I am one of those hopefuls who always make a bet for the national lottery tickets to get chances of winning. I have a special station where I frequently validate my bets and I feel that the outlet has  positive vibes because I won for a three digit game before. Aside from that the service is good and fast. I don't have to wait with the long line of people to be served. I am happy because the lottery service is getting an advancement on the internet as they offer tickets to buy online when you click on their site. You may not know when good opportunities come and as long as you have lottery tickets your probability of winning is always open.

Araw ng Davao 2011

Today is declared as local non working holiday as the city celebrates its 74th Araw ng Davao for the year 2011. It is raining while I am on my way going to the downtown district today. The celebration actually started last Monday and some highlighted activities were concert at the park, street dancing and  Mutya ng Davao coronation night. The people join this morning for a thanksgiving mass followed by  street parade attended by various sectors from the private, government, social-civic and  business groups. I hope everyone  enjoy the celebration in spite of the weather. Madayaw Davao City!

Correction Tape

My friend gave me the other day this correction tape. I find it as a good alternative for correction fluid because I can easily mark it on errors without hassles. This is often used in correcting typing or printing errors and also on some  important personal and office documents. The tape is almost used up and I think I have to buy one tomorrow. This will be  very useful on my book  problem reviews this coming weekend.

Learning how to use coupons

Life is hard nowadays and I can personally feel it because I am the one supporting my family. Sometimes I had  to sacrifice my personal needs to prioritized the more important ones. It was frustrating because my pleasures were being set aside. One time I went out with my friend and somebody introduced to us about savings by using coupons. The offer interested me and I tried availing some coupons for some shops where I frequently buy goods like dresses, shoes, electronic gadgets and other personal items in the market. I thought that it was a kind of couponing-education for us. Now I am  enjoying the  coupons on my personal purchases. It feels happy to have it without sacrificing my little desires in life. Great savings indeed.

Japan Earthquake

An 8.9 magnitude earthquake that rocked Japan followed by tsunami were the most devastating events that happened this week. The world is in grief with what happened to the Japanese people.  I saw the live news on television yesterday and I cannot imagine what was happening on the coastal areas as properties like cars, buildings, houses, bridges etc.were swept away by strong waters. The Philippines was also alarmed of what happened to Japan because the country belongs to the Pacific Ring of Fire where at any time earthquake and tsunami could happen. This disaster could help us in our awareness and preparation because we are not spared from the dangers brought about by the wrath of nature.

International Women's Day

A special day to all the women out there. We make life worth living and so our existence is very important in this planet. This quotes remind us of how special we are.

Women are never stronger than when they arm themselves with their weakness.
A woman's hopes are woven of sunbeams; a shadow annihilates them.
I would rather trust a woman's instinct than a man's reason.
To get to a woman's heart, a man must first use his own.
Women are wiser than men because they know less and understand more.
There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire,
which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity,
but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.

HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY!

Hair Pony Tie

I spent time last weekend on the ladies accessories section of the nearby mall. I bought this simple hair pony tie to use on my hair. I do not like too much embellishments on my hair accessories and I just wanted simple ties that I can have for daily wear.  It is a social etiquette that you have to tie your hair when you are commuting and sitting with other passengers especially on jeepneys and buses. For me a pony tail is a fashion hairdo that is always acceptable whether in formal or informal occasions.

Gladiator Gift

I was happy to received this gladiator sandals as a belated gift of my cousin. This was supposed to be given by her last holidays. I had no idea what happened but anyway it is better late than never. The ankle-high design  is just as comfortable and chic to wear. Very trendy with dress, pants or shorts. I was very careful when I first used this tricky shoes or else I would create a mess in my fashion. Dark pants rolled up a little to show the sandals then a casual printed top. I love the looks and it feels fabulous to wear this gladiator sandals. Many thanks for this gift.

Bad Breath and Itchy Scalps

I know a friend who confined to me regarding his husband's health condition. This has been their problem for the past five years and I am in empathy to her because she was so devastated on her husband's ordeal on psoriasis. A kind of skin condition which until now has no cure or remedy. My friend already consulted the doctor who specializes on treatment for psoriasis. There were many red patches on the back as well as on the arms and the doctors' diagnosis on the skin condition is somehow related to genetics.  Meriam was so frustrated  and her husband has to deal with this sickness for a lifetime. For now  the patches and flakes on the skin are no longer severe because of some medications that the doctor gave to help ease the suffering of the patient and also to my friend who is terribly burdened.
